School Supplies, Shoes, Styles & Love

Women United hosted their Annual Back 2 School Drive at two locations in Gwinnett County this year!

Every year Women United partners with a local barbershop to host a Back 2 School Drive for the community. This year Women United was able to hit it off in a major way!

Through the efforts of our contributors, fundraisers and locals, Women United was able to put together a successful event for those in need.

We was able to raise funds to help kids in the Gwinnett County area. Through our efforts, we raised enough money to help over 200 kids with back to school supplies, clothing, shoes, haircuts and hair styles. One of the larger contributors to help make this event a success was Wal-Mart. Women United partnered with a local store and they was able to help with a significant amount of supplies to give to the community that we ended up being able to host two separate events!

Big or Small all Donations Matter.

Not only was we able to get #WalMart on board but we was also able to partner with two amazing local barbershops to host the event and give their services for hair cuts and styles for little girls. The first event was hosted at Kream Kutz located at 1575 Lawrenceville Hwy and the second event was hosted by Immaculate Cuts located at 2930 Old Norcross Rd. They both were a great contributor for us and we appreciate and value their partnership with Women United.

The children was able to receive book-bags with tons of school supplies loaded in them. There was clothing out for them to pick from as well. There was food, games, and fellowship! It put a HUGE smile on a lot of faces when our partner Non-Profit Gifts4Kids came through with brand new Nike and Converse branded shoes! That was a BIG DEAL for the children. Women United is truly blessed and appreciative of the partnerships they've built in the community and hope to continue to be able to build much more strong relationships!
