As a program of Women United, we serve individuals facing homelessness, youth aging out of foster care or the juvenile justice system—many at high risk of sexual exploitation—returning citizens, and veterans navigating life transitions. Our program meets people where they are, providing safe, structured housing paired with individualized support plans that address each person’s unique needs. Whether participants are seeking stability after homelessness, reentry support after incarceration, protection and guidance during a vulnerable transition to adulthood, or a path forward after military service, Better Life offers a supportive environment focused on growth and self-sufficiency. Participants receive access to housing stability, workforce development, education pathways, life-skills training, and financial empowerment—wrapped in a trauma-informed, judgment-free approach. We believe lasting change happens when people are supported holistically and treated with respect. Through strong partnerships with local businesses, service providers, and community organizations, Better Life creates bridges to opportunity, offering customized action plans that lead to employment, independence, and long-term stability.
